Miguel Oliveira "confident" for an almost 'home' round

M iguel Oliveira finished the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon in 15th place. He now heads to Mugello next weekend, where he will compete in the Italian GP .

The Portuguese rider from Prima Pramac Yamaha had a long absence from the tracks due to injury, but has already competed in the last three rounds of the championship - always improving his final result.

In a statement from the Italian team, Oliveira expressed his optimism: "After these recent days on the bike, I'm feeling great heading to Mugello, and confident that we can take another important step forward in terms of performance."

Despite being Portuguese, 'Falcão' is a resident of Italy, so he sees this round as if it were almost at home: "Although it is a home race for several drivers, it also feels like it is for me , as I have lived in Italy for several years."

Finally, Oliveira commented: "Riding the Yamaha in Mugello adds an extra dose of happiness. We are getting stronger and stronger in every race and I am very motivated to perform well this weekend."

The MotoGP Italian Grand Prix kicks off on Friday with the first practice sessions, before qualifying and the Sprint race on Saturday. The event culminates on Sunday 22 June with the main race.
